Customer Reviews

The part in quotes is how you address this radio. To set just say "Hello Clock Radio" and it responds in a lower toned female voice "Yes"
The good: It accepts plain speech commands. You wake it up by saying loudly "Hello Clock Radio"
Then if you say "Time" it tells you the current time" If you say "set time" it asks you to say the time adding am or pm. So I say 11pm and it sets to 11PM. Say alarm and it tells you what time the dual alarms are set to, lets you listen to the alarm (ocean, tone, radio etc) and asks if you want to turn them off, if they are on.
The dual alarm function is nice and I use that a lot as my woman and I are on different schedules.
Some of the commands are "time" "Set Alarm" lets you choose Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 and set them individually "Alarm"
tells you what the alarms are set at The big display is easy to see, even if without your glasses you cannot see much. The display is not too bright even at the bright setting but very . The versatility of alarm sounds is pretty cool, and you can go to sleep listening to radio or to ocean waves or a couple of others
The Bad It accepts plain speech commands. Yes, speech is good news and bad news You can talk to this clock, and it talks back and you rarely have to even touch to set most functions, although all functions can be access manually. But like any speech recognition device, how you speak is the key. Most times, it all works perfectly, and if that was almost all the time, I would have given 5 stars But infrequently, if I am being too careful too slow, whatever when I talk, I have the hardest time setting the alarm It wants to set the wrong time. Other than that occassional irritant, the clock is great
Bottom line: I highly recommend this clock. The large display is useful and not too bright but still easy to read even in daylight. Don't try to get too fancy with how you talk, it listens to plain old speech and talking too slow or too slurred gets you a fat ignore.

Well to start-off, the Jensen JCR-300 Voice recognition radio clock is interesting to interact with.
The Pros- Takes simple commands pretty well.
Display is adjustable to low/high dim
Manual buttons are user friendly ; not that complicated to sort through.
Radio reception is good ; clear.
Comes with 3 nature sleep sounds.
The Cons- Although it takes simple commands pretty well, I at times find myself repeating (3-4x) for accuracy.
Cannot voice the radio to shut-off/On( that would of been awesome, if possible).
Radio tuner doesn't appear on screen for precision of station, its done intuitively with a dial setting.
All in all, I'm still satisfied, for I know there isn't any others as good as this model.
