I found this beautiful alarm clock at our local Walmart several months ago and bought it. It has an ascending alarm, a blue backlight and a very good glossy finish. Two AAA batteries last for a long time, I haven't replaced its batteries for months. I must say I fell in love with this clock, so I recently bought one more for my desktop, which I carry with me as a companion in business meetings.
